About the artist:
Print design following grids, being structured
and clean, while providing a dynamic balance of color and form are my specialty. My fortes are typography, working expeditiously yet carefully, being technically proficient, and having a strong command of the English language. I have an expert-level knowledge of design software—especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop—and PowerPoint), always seeking the best and most efficient way to use graphic design tools. My experience proofreading my work as a freelancer has given me a thorough editor’s eye for detail in both design and for the written language.
I am a designer with 7 years of experience in the field. Starting out in music, studying clarinet and piano and earning a Master’s degree in classical music composition and theory, I spent several years as a music typesetter before transitioning to graphic design. Music typesetting involves following very strict rules of music notation that must be married with an aesthetic taste for laying out music scores. I have found graphic design to be more liberating and satisfying. Design allows me to express myself artistically while still being guided by best practices.
